Costume Assist

My name is Dib and I’m a lesbian set dresser, wardrobe assist and emerging production designer with a true eye for style. I graduated Swinburne University with Honors in Film and Television, where I always stood out for my striking outfits and bright personality. In my spare time you can find me singing in the kitchen with a pot bubbling over, or curled up in bed reading my latest library haul.

I’ve worked on three features and a dozen shorts and music videos. Some of my more stunning art design can be seen in the crisp, cookie-cutter costuming of indie horror ‘Daniel the Goodboy’, the beige 80’s office world of queer film ‘Engaged’ and a spiraling spider’s web of cords in music video ‘I wanna be tranquilized.’ Please also see the 'Daniel the Goodboy' mad-room covered top to tail in hand-written notes reading, ‘be a good boy’ - it really took a toll on my wrist.

In my university exegesis I analyzed rules of visual design and proposed my own set of rules for cinematic image through production design. This learning is what I use today to dissect elements of costume and production design, to create a visually stunning image.
My designs are endlessly versatile, and yet never lacking that Dib-special-something that makes a truly remarkable on-screen image.
